About

niceSERVE is a faith-based event that mobilizes people to serve locally. This event connects volunteers and local non-profits by creating helpful service projects that are geared toward revitalizing neighborhoods and communities.

Summit Church, located in Orlando, FL created niceSERVE in 2004 as a way to help hundreds of their volunteers partner with local non-profits in providing man power and resources to project sites all across Central Florida on one day, three times a year. niceSERVE has now expanded to include volunteers from various local churches and community groups all over Orlando.

This service event is not intended to be the end of service for volunteers. Our hope is that it will be a catalyst for volunteers and their groups to begin serving regularly in their communities, perhaps at the site of their first niceSERVE project.

Priorities for the Organizations we Serve

  2. Where an organization’s mission brings them into relationship with those in need, they have a reputation for service in a way that affirms individual dignity.
  3. That an organization honors the time and effort of niceseRve volunteers by being prepared and offering clear direction.

Priorities for the People we Serve

  1. That they feel the love of Christ and have a better understanding of their value as his image-bearer.
  2. That they establish a relational connection with people who love Christ.
  3. That they are invited into the joy of serving.

Priorities for the People who Serve

  1. That they serve with excellence.
  2. That they learn both to give and receive love from those they serve.
  3. That they affirm the innate dignity of those they serve.
